Israel !! Touring both north and south, staying at a water front boutique hotel (family owned, father's name is Abraham, son's name is Moses) by the Sea of Galilee, reflecting on Jesus' ministry to the disciples and His calming the storms; in Jerusalem, staying at a boutique Hotel witnessing the true and intimate Jewish family Shabbat ceremonies; floating in the Dead Sea while having a beauty treatment; walking through the ruins of Masada, envisioning more than 900 Jews trapped and ended their own lives to defy Roman reign in 79AD.... Wonderful learning on all fronts, Biblical, Historical, and Political.
Cruising beautiful Greek Islands was the needed relaxation after the intense learning in Israel. I can't decide which is my favorite, Mykonos or Santorini. Watching 6'4" tall Greek soldiers marching and dancing the changing of the guards in white tights and pompom shoes was the highlight in Athens!!
